Day 5 Yesterday (which was Saturday, I think): Barstow to Needles
Yesterday was a lot of sitting for me. I drove from Barstow to Needles (~160 miles), checked into the motel, then went back east 80 miles to Amboy to fetch the guys at Roy's Cafe along Route 66, which seemed to be the only building in Amboy. Then, I drove all of us back to Needles, where there's a bend in the Colorado River. Due to the heat we're taking a weather day today; tomorrow promises to be much cooler.
