Bonus Days

Some days there is just not enough time to stop and smell the roses, but sometimes you can. This past Wednesday a sorority sister and I reconnected after not seeing each other for 50 years! Carol and I had fun sharing the highlights of each of our lives. And her fabulous chocolate chip cookies were a huge hit with Rich and Thom -- and me, too!

It's probably good that we're FB friends so we knew who we were looking for. 😀

On Tuesday I took an hour to visit a small art museum on the community college campus in Sedalia, MO. Very nicely done exhibits and they had the requisite Chihuly sculpture.

Yesterday I spent the morning at the Lincoln Presidential Library in Springfield, IL (after the guys found Thom's phone). It was a well-spent morning, a good partner to the Gettysburg Museum. There were plenty of wax figures (if you like those), several videos to sit and watch, and many interesting artifacts. The political cartoons were fun and the photographs were especially wonderful.
